Unimaginative sun sinking behind the hills
Burning bright orange, yellow, pink, and purple
Watercolour brushstrokes across the sky
Flowing and melting into the warm night
Wildlife wondering the savannahs and bush
Unseen repetition by many who live here
In Mother Nature’s glorious art gallery
Taking for granted that which some never see
In the torment of the land and its people
From the fight of everyday living and its challenges
Still blessed in triplicate in the wide-open spaces
Of verdant vegetation and fresh clean air
Blue skies and warm golden sunshine
Beautiful is this land that we call home
