Travelling Companions

Lend me some souls
To accompany my path
Some I will choose
And others will choose me
Please let them not be
Comparative and competitive
Rather let us be
Companions in harmony
Complementing each other
Look to each other’s gifts
That add to one another
Walk the crunchy gravel
The slippery moss-covered rocks
The dusty sand storms
And the smooth tarred roads
Together
Encouraging
Helping
Please lend me some souls
That make the journey a joy
Enhance my trips around the sun
And I theirs
In abundant blessings
