My heart is inflammable
Turned to stone by you
Cold to the touch of another soul
Self-preservation
Learned from the scars you left
Where little by little vessels petrified
And muscle and arteries too
Until I felt that I could feel no more
Numb to charmed words
Dripping with poisonous syrup
Of luring temptation
Disconnected from true emotion
Barer of the pole to push away
Any attempts to penetrate the barrier
For you must all be the same
But honesty and authenticity
Took me by complete surprise
And while I was doubting
And looking for the tell-tale lies
The truth began the dissolve of stone
Turned back to flesh and blood
By the rarity that does exist, of honesty

Sometimes, I’ve wondered, if “honesty” is used out of different motivation. People read that.
