Nature’s Palette

The leaves will fade
Turn red, yellow and orange
Our warm winter jackets
Pulled from storage
Some will moan of the coming cold
Others will rejoice in lower mercury
Our body’s clocks adjust seamlessly
For this constant seasonal cycle
Nature pulls different colours
From her vast palette
And shows us her magnificence
