Life doesn’t come with all the amenities our hearts desire
There are difficult challenges and purposeful gaps
To allow our potential to be adventurously explored
Opportunities to prove to ourselves that we can fill the spaces
Bring into being that which we fiercely wish for
And in the troughs of despair that inevitably also occur
It is the gift of testing our resilience and the substance of our stuffing
To prove only to ourselves that we can get up again
Life is the ultimate gift of opportunity and possibility
It is up to us what we choose to do with this blessing
