My safe space
My love palace
My family of four
Where I am me
With plenty of judgement
But also acceptance
Because what can I say
We’re all crazy in here
The balance to my lonely
Laughter when I need it
Soft spot to land on
Hug when I’m drooping
These are my people
Who irritate me
And inspire me
Who hate me
And love me
– Children feel that sometimes
And I mirror it back
To be so wonderfully blessed
