Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “home.” Use it as a noun, a verb, an adjective, or an adverb. Enjoy!

Where is this place that holds my heart?
The one where I reside
I have but only ever had one
In the broadest world of things
Though many different houses
The areas all but the same
Circled around the same city
The one of my childhood
A little different from the one I’ve chose
For we are all together, my family
It lifts my heart when I walk through the door
To smell muffins, cakes, or biscuits baking
But children taught at mom and grandma’s hand
Tinkles of tickled giggles say hello
It is my haven of sanctuary where I rest my head
I hope my children remember it fondly
When they are grown and have their own
Recall the joy and happiness
Shared within its precious walls
It is their heritage of greatest love
No other iron-clad traditions handed down
From many levels of generations
Though no colourful clothes or special dances
No foods or particular things we call our own
We call this land our home
