In the sober orange streaks of dawn
I raise my hope from an extended slumber
To try this new day on for size and wonder
Overindulged on a choice of addictions
To escape the empty echoes of the world
A cacophony that does not say much
I now seek the rays of the rising sun
To warm my soul and encourage me to carry on
For I am gripping to faith by my raw fingertips
That life is meant to be better than mere existence

I think we’re ALL thinking, “It’ll get better, It’ll get better, It’ll…” and doing so with hopeful fingers crossed. Outstanding work, this. Thanks, DG.

Thanks so much for the kind feedback Ron. Much appreciated. Hope you are well and better comes soon for all of us.
Currently sitting with no electricity here in South Africa tonight. Just when they’ve stopped the scheduled load shedding- power outages- our neighborhood gets an unplanned one 🙈🤣. Have a great day.
