Elevate me above the world
But not out of it
I need a momentary reprieve
From the weight that grows heavier
With each article of news and increase
The vacuum is strengthening
Pulling me to the void
Earth is suffocating
Beneath the prolific desperate
Sucking in extra oxygen to survive
The pressure crushing from the outside
Please give me this break
To gather myself and make a plan
I cannot avoid it
But I need to know what to do
