Slipping

What is it strings of my heart

That has you pulling hard

What is weighing upon you

Creating double knots

You’re hanging one handed

From our connected tether

In the winds of a storm

I feel you barely holding on

And see the struggle in your eyes

Though I make it very clear

That I am here for you

We’re drifting further apart
