The world is feeling
And I drown in its emotions
My chest tight as if stabbed
I have never felt such pain
Sadness and heartbreak
But I know it isn’t mine
A jubilee of paternity
But some are missing
Possibility of this agony
Told to proceed
As this is all part of life
For some there is no ease
And as each year comes
This celebration holds no joy
Milestones still measured
And dad’s arms still missed
I experience your excruciating day
Exhausted by it all
And I wish you love and care today
Love from the intangible world
That may sooth your ache
