I wake down
Wind the door up
Climb the window
Crawl the wall
I ride the stairs
All these words
That do not go
They stop the brain
And make you think
Out of context
Out of line
All wrong and muddled
Mess with the mind
Relegated to nonsense
But what if…
From a different angle
You were to see
That these words
Were perfectly normal
Like stepping on an escalator
Or slowly
Finding footing and grasp
Like a baby learning to move
But you
Climbing a wall
With a little imagination
And an altered perspective
More is possible
Than you might think you see
So before you throw me out
As ridiculous
If you wish to understand
Then ask what I mean
For the limits
Might be in your head
So maybe believe
In the impossible instead
