Would you forgo some luxuries
To feed a stranger’s child?
Is that your responsibility?
Would you forgo your liberties
To keep others safe?
Are they allowed to take your freedom?
Would you forgo what you want
For the defence of the manufacturing land?
Can you just find it somewhere else?
Questions on a narrow mind
With complicated wide-open doors
That don’t only swing one way
Will you fall foul of the sharp edges of judgement
You precariously negotiate
To have thought on any matter at hand?
Do you know the facts or decide on hearsay?
But how can you make any choice
When the first question to enter your head
Darkens any desire to offer support?
The debate of stolen hope and help
Blockade to lending hands
Building anger and resentment
And suffocating people’s compassion
For this corrupt land
