Let the irrelevant hop away with the bunny
After he’s delivered a bounty of chocolate eggs
To disappear behind and bury the emotions beneath
By the light of the glorious full moon
Don’t let him hide them, but rather bring them
Right to my wide-open waiting door
That they may be devoured before the day is done
Without bringing a solution or permanent relief
To the misery that I am using them as a band aid for
But what better time than Easter to attempt
The medication of the milky and delicious
Product of the cocoa bean
Enjoy
And on Monday I’ll pick up again
The finding of a fix, stronger than this patch
