It begins with negotiation
If the answer isn’t as you would
To the great big sky
And whomever you trust
To answer your wishes
With swift desired action
Exactly according to your dictate
And when you are done
Begging and pleading
Acceptance slowly creeps in
At first with resistance
For the grossly unwanted
Only as a resigned sigh
With a shout to the heavens
That no one is listening
But when desperation has quietened
And blurry vision has cleared
You may see the result for the best
Or you may never see the truth at all
