Pull the cloth from the table
Reveal the load it bares
The meeting place of families
Souls love and care compare
From visceral heart’s drumbeat
Responsibility and chores displace
No more must in any relations
Chosen surrounds people replace
For now we’ll live with those we wish
Never forgotten, sad beneath boot treads
We’ll advocate for our just deserts
Be among those wanting in their steads
