Where the moss grows lush and green
Over jagged rock outcrops
Where the water falls in glossy curtains
To shimmering cool pools
That is where I want to be
Against the breast
Of Mother Nature’s heartbeat
Of thundering calls and dainty bird song
Petrichor, floral and fern perfumed air
Dancing light and rainbow smears
Call to my souls distressing night
But when I cannot take my body there
If for a minute of more I will imagine
Vividly visualize myself
Amongst these balms
To overwhelm
To the rapid rush of making a life
To paralyzing fear and exhaustion
I will mentally put myself among the rain drops
To escape
But also to pull strength and regain my energy
I will be there
Where life is for living
If only for a moment
