In the malfunction of the mind
Unbalanced chemicals combine
To flaunt their importance
In the stability of delusion
That slips by so gradually
Until yesterday is suddenly lost
Gone to an unknown destination
Or the memories are electric shocks
High on psychedelic, chaotic delirium
Or burrowing through the low-down trenches
Sinking in the depressed quicksand of misery
All equally debilitating and thievery
Of a mourned life only half lived
By the sufferers and their dearest
Helpless to the plight of their desperation
For normality on an even keeled plane
Lost in the manic noise of misunderstanding
And the search for a permanent solution
