In the spangled spotlight of popularity
She never wishes to find herself
For introverted and bashful are her traits
Not rude nor inattentive to your words
But she’ll use few if she doesn’t know you well
And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that
For it takes all different kinds to make the world
And imagine the cacophony if we were all the same
Shouting at the top of our lungs to be heard
Trying to be the loudest in the room
Or none of us saying a single word to one another
Let us celebrate rather than judge
The uniqueness of each blessed soul
And take each one for who they are
Love them simply without request
To change the essence of themselves
Just to make us comfortable with them
