I have commuted my sentence
From the blue shades of glum
In favour of sunshine and rainbows
From the storm I have wallowed in
I have chosen to find my way
Through the grey clouds of thunder
To the light of hope and possibility
Which are always lurking nearby
But perhaps shrouded by fog
I am reaching past the dark headlines
To the white paper beneath
And moving the words on the page
To write a new story that I like
To keep the parchment dry
And always seek the light to write by
As I tell a new life’s tale
Of radiant smiles and heart warming joy

I must admit, I wondered whether anybody else would use the word in the same sense that I used it.

Couldn’t think to write about the boring trip to work, which so many don’t do these days. Have a great day. Hope you’re staying warm up in the north.
