Where my soul is the master
My heart is the novice
Intuition resides in my centre
But I the student learning
To rely on the truth that it knows
The answers are truly within
But I have ignored the whispers
The nudging of my supporting team
In favour of what my ego wants
And now I plan the great escape
From living in my head
From fear and want and scarcity
The desperate pictures I have painted
Memories from the lives left behind
Now to prove that I’ve learned the lessons
So that I can move forward
Revel in the growth that has happened
Relish the peace and calm
That the deepest of me has always known
And silence the voice
That uses the darkness to protect me
From that which is not my reality
But should I listen and follow
I shall make it dreadfully so
And that I will not
