Swallows of an autumn sky
Spread my wings and flee
From the chill of my mistakes
And decisions weighing down
Waiting for their fateful choice
Between what’s wrong and right
Head scratched raw from the task
Fear the anchored hovering
But what if
It is neither one nor the other
Would that abate the anxiety?
No path of incorrect flight
Simply different adventure flown
Then could I just go and choose
And flow where billows blow
Soar upon the highs of thermal glow
Allowing gusts to set me right
Or change the course
And enjoy the Universal chosen plan
Knowing this is the path for me
The flight my life is meant
And never an escape from living it
