The Road to Destiny

Don’t ignore that innocuous glance
The gentle turning of his lips
That twinkles magic in his eyes
Electricity that sparks in the gap
That grows smaller between you
Until the scented breeze reaches
Pheromones bridging the breach
Relegated to friendship in doubt
Begins the love fantastic adventure
And what is meant won’t be denied
Even if delayed in fear and uncertainty
Hearts will smash together
In an epic and timely collision
When the caged butterflies
Can no longer be contained
And destiny launches her journey
A start and not a final destination
But travelled alongside
The jumper cables to my heart
The safe space for my feelings
And the glorious challenge for my mind
