Teach Children to Feel, to Deal

Mother Nature cries
Rain of healing drops
To calm the dust storms
Stamped up by people
Churned by emotions
Of sheer overwhelm
Not pictured in perfect idiom
But rather untidy and chaotic
When human feelings overflow
Ill prepared in childhood
To deal with the colourful rainbow
Of tangled heart strings
To fear, anger, joy, love and sadness
And oh so much more
Encouraged to suppress
The uncomfortable soppy things
That might render a judgement
Of less
And one day the bottled geyser
Will surely explode
Or fester dis-ease within
And much
Will be bent out of shape
To be repaired in adulthood
