It is a rigmarole to take time for one’s self
A planning of the lack of task and responsibility
To quiet the noise of the world
To silence the demanding voices of scheduling
All shouting out of tune and simultaneously
The cacophony a deafening deterrent
To the conspicuous need for sanity through solitude
Once more placed at the bottom of the long list
By no other guilty party than our magnanimous selves
Now if we should wonder why others treat us as such
We have led them by our own exemplary example
And they have taken note of the treatment we accept
And the very little we expect from even ourselves
