How Much Air Do You Have?

Like a vacuum the air sucked out
No green to regenerate breath in us
Hypoxic human with a dying body
Because we’re destroying the world
A tirade that you roll your eyes at
Somebody else’s problem maybe
It hasn’t touched its cold fingers
To the blue painted lips on your face
You haven’t lost from a lacking
Things that your cells mortality need
And food
We are
And poisoning
In the name of development
But mostly of greed
Only when you feel the ice of its reach
And the bitterest freeze affects you
Or the global burn becomes unbearable
Perhaps will you stop to think
That maybe you also need to do something
No matter how small or big
Silent or loud
Something to help our world
Before all the air is gone
