With teeth like a shark
Life might tear you apart
From limb to limb you might dangle
Or you could consider another angle
The jagged days of unbelievable pain
Teach lessons with an aching refrain
They are the spark in the wound of change
A chemical and gaseous ignition exchange
To redirect the passage of a wildly lost ship
That it may find its way back to the slip
Instead of drowning in the darkness of the deep
An attitude altered to the sun, allowing it to creep
From an eternal coming of doom and gloom
To something radiant and hopeful to assume
That life could give you all that you need
From fears and doubt liberatingly freed
For the waters hold beauty and spark
Not only a potentially deadly shark

Good words! I particularly like the part about the “aching refrain” and the comparison to a chemical reaction.
