Found In Still Waters

In the waters of stomping feet
Frenzied chaos in muddied pools
Muddled mind cloudy as the pond
Decisions procrastinated to stagnation
None in the service of mental health
Dwindled to isolation by fear and law
As the hand releases its grip slowly
Company with the woman in the mirror
The chosen socialization of the day
Quiet desired and sought after
When the extrovert becomes introverted
Happy with her own association
Silence calmed the stirred earth
Peaceful waters to float in contemplation
To gather thoughts and courage once again
To decide, to act, to continue
In the world, but out of it
In acceptance of the flow of life
Found where the noise left and time abounded
