Whispering Spirit

The wind whistles through the windows
And the curtains dance to the tune
An empty room of physical presence
But there is energy and spirit within
Having passed might be pertinent
It’s not what I focus on
Because I know that you are still here
Visiting, watching and listening
You saw them born
You’ve seen them grow
You’ve watched me change
And now I know
Though I miss your arms
Your loving hugs
I’ve heard the motherly advice
You whispered on the breeze
Felt the bumps you brought to my skin
And the smile your memory put on my lips
We had our time
It’s never enough
But you’ll stay in my heart and passages
I am awake now
So I know
I feel you
I hear you
I love you
