The songbirds been silenced
In the beautiful morning light
Sun barely strokes my facial contours
The world is feeling far, far away
In this prison of my brain
I wonder the labyrinth of my thoughts
Unable to understand their reason
Like water slipping through my fingers
The heat of focused concentration
Evaporating them to steam
I am on the outside, not even looking in
Meaning and existence abstract
My mind does not venture down the line
Bogged in the foggy swamp of these minutes
Time ticking in my blank stare
Removed from reality of today or tomorrow
Swallowed by a fear bubble of anxiety
Struggling to cope with breathing
