Entombed Recovery

Pleasure disrupted
Ice-cream on the floor
My heart seems cold
For I shed no tear
I pay no heed
You shout callous
Paint me uncaring
But I don’t hear you
I have withdrawn
Shield myself
Protect myself
I have allowed
My peace to be drained
My consideration ignored
My identity lost
For others
Their peace
Their convenience
Their happiness
I hide now
Healing in the quiet
Removed from the cry
Respecting myself
Loving myself
Caring for me
I entomb in repair
I do this without remorse
