Smiles of better days
Carefree and happy
Nothing but the sunshine
Nothing but the rain
It didn’t matter
Because we have each other
Happy
It’s what we make each other
Carefree days of childhood
Theirs not ours
But we were younger
Growing up with them
Learning to live
By the breath of our children
Simpler times
When we played
Knew how to be crazy
How to have fun
The worries of life
Not in the front of our minds
These days are different
More grown
But we’ve lost something
We need to go and find
Those happy-go-lucky kids
That we were
Life goes on
And it’s up to us to enjoy
