Bombarded Soul

Bubbles in the waves pounding
Flatus churns the gut to cramp
The world bombarding my soul
Rocks of my coastline eroding
Edges fuzzy and corroded
Back hunched over
Inward curl of protection
Defending my vulnerability
Ubiquitous anxious energy
Permeates my pores
Empathy drowning
In the wash of this ocean
Seeking a cave of solitude
To gather my thoughts
Hear the song of the seas
Above the cacophony
Of the tsunami raging
In my chest
And just behind my eyes
