The Wanderer

The bluster caught him
A windbag filled with nothing
Ready to leave at the blow of a breeze
It blew him in and he’s always ready to set sail by it
I don’t begrudge him adventure
But I wish he didn’t take my heart with him
And a gaping hole remain
I fell in love with a gypsy when I needed a constant
I cannot live by the stars and fairy dust
Trees need to lay roots to grow
