Draconian Drunk

It began out of necessity
All intentions seemed well
But…
Like a circle in a spiral
Nested onion layers built
The hunger started small
Fed with little tastes
Now drunk on the power
Excited by the control
The notion to reign
Command people’s lives
Actions no longer make sense
People grow restless
Searching…
For a slip
The reveal
Of the hidden agenda
They believe exists
Questions are posed
Evasion and avoidance
Raise eyebrows higher
Where lies the truth?
What motivates
The laws of the dragon?
