Through the roots of our ancients
Fed from the soul of the earth
A legacy of grace and good stature
Watching the world through their branches
Wisdom of the ages absorbed
The history of our behaviour
Worn in the rings of their existence
Like the scars of a damaged childhood
A pronounced majesty
When we let them stand
Grow to their full potential
Offer support and nurturing
Water them as they are
