Tangled Tendrils Reaching Out

Sweet peas pulling at me
Glorious colours and scents
Of my childhood winters
Calling my name
In these complicated times
Back to easier days
When many worries
Were not mine to figure
Though tangled tendrils
Reach out to hook on me
I dwell in the here and now
Beautiful memories
To plant again
Release my troubles of today
In the soils of the earth
Washed away with water
To make dreams grow
Tending to the garden of my life
Sowing hope
