In the dark alleys
Shadows loom large
A locked cabin
Entombs my secrets
All that I don’t want
To touch
To feel
To look at
Supressed
Suffocated
Beneath time
Some days
I disappear
Into its walls
Hiding from life
Searching for calm
But what I really need to do
Is dismantle each wall
Not with a sledgehammer
Not with burning anger
But with gentle understanding
With all the love I show others
And deny myself
Slowly
Thoroughly
Take them down
That they may never
Be built again

what a powerful insight … praying that this social isolation allows people the space to do just this ❤
