Intangible Vanishings

Sprinkle fairy dust on the macrocosm of my feelings
To tame them from their wild uncontrolled turmoil
Gossamer wings disintegrate on touch
Snowflake melts on the ridges of my finger
Everything vanishes
But the raw emotions
That scar the profile of my smile
In the flood of overwhelm
I drown my preconceived notions
Of how life should be, how I should be
And the happy and sad endings
Instead of trying to grasp them in my hands
To hold the intangible tight
I dive into their depths
To bathe myself in their comprehension
That with understanding they may transmute
To love and happiness
