In all these moments that I plan my life
Review my purpose and progression
Fugacious clarity on the way forward
Sand slipping through my fingers
Unable to grasp for very long
The meaning of life and my place in it
I open my hand to find an empty palm
My meagre understanding of all
Vanished
I question the trajectory of my journey
Seek the grains of adjustment
And contemplate their necessity
Work in progress to reclaim
A direct course of action
Focused and confident
Absent of scattered thought and uncertainty
Because
All that I am looking for at the end
Is happiness

Very true! Why is it that clarity’s so fleeting? You see the truth for a quick moment and then it gets fuzzed again. 😦
Thanks for participating in our prompt today.
