Believing in Life

My hearing canal floods
With the gushing overflow
Of the cacophony of my mind
It becomes dangerously unhinged
As the burdens of life are slung at me
With rapid increase in frequency
Drowning my hope and optimism
Worry and fear the new masters
Roiling my stomach
Suffocating my heart
Wringing my lungs of air
Concerted effort and thought
Required to stop
To ground
To renew
To look at this moment
Know what is, right now
Not to predict or judge
To believe
To gather hope again
To find the sparkle of the sun
