Rummaging through the garbage cans of the world
You will find many shattered, broken hearts
Discarded
Shut down
Too afraid to endure such pain once more
Beside this remnant of precious, sacred love
You will find the shredded and pulped debris of
Trust
Faith
And hope
In the hard and fast pace of this spinning planet
Our most priceless gift given too quickly
For fear of
Loss
Rejection
Loneliness
We offer our soul, our deepest desires up
For a little affection and even less attention
Competing with technology and others
For fragile cobwebs of anaemic connection
Wait
For the one who will give you
The consideration you deserve
The time
Try again
But do not search in the trash
Beside the shards of damaged relationships
You will not find what you are worth
Know your value warrants tender hands
To hold your heart with love and care

I am so sorry to hear that. Please accept my deepest condolences. Nothing to apologize for, the loss of a loved one is a difficult time, but remember to rely on your friends because it helps to talk and remember good times.
Sending much love and light. ❤
