If the evidence is lacking
Then it can’t possibly be
There has to be proof
An announcement
A demonstration
Big
Loud
Proud
Trumpeted for all to see
Shared across the world
If only this means something
Then there is a lack
Because it is in the quiet
In the little things
The warm cup of coffee
Your favourite snack
Returned from the store
The best piece left for you
That nobody hears about
Nobody knows
Because this is between
The two of you
