I put on a happy summer dress
Blessed to see the sunrise, another new day
This day I have been given
To do something with
Make a mark on humanity
Even if it’s just small
Or something greater than I knew I could
Today is the gift
That I do something with
Let my skirt flare out as I dance in the rain
Give my hand to another
Build this incredible world
Be part of the light that shuts darkness out
