Aged Memory

In age of old
Through my fingers
Like grains of sand
Memories slip
Polished with frequent use
They no longer cling
Flowers of forget-me-not
To remind a strainer
Holding on to very little
As this life slowly fades away
Preparing for the next
Be not forgetful
Of how I once was
Release the picture that you keep
Of a feeble-minded child
In wrinkled skin of age
For that I am no more
