Stealing Hope

You
The one who purloins hope
You
The one who purveys gloom
You
The one who darkens our skies
We
Have no need for your doom
We
Seek the silver lining that you hide
We
Demand that you stop immediately
I
Know the shadows exist in the world
I
Know there is evil about
I
Do not need to hear it all
Be
Silent if it doesn’t jeopardise my life
Be
Silent if it doesn’t brighten my day
Be
The better person
The good news
Or nothing
