My muse in her wispy breath
Up and leaves
At the most inconvenient time
She leaves behind her annoying cousin
Procrastination
We have become well acquainted
Much to my dismay
I strive to leave him behind
As my fingers thud
A slow rhythm on the keys
Pulling and tugging each word
From its hiding place
Turning it over a thousand times
Looking for perfect where there is none
Settling with music to my own ears
I continue steadily on
