Waiting For Me

Space within my heart
Where something is missing
A gap that can’t be filled
Void like blackhole
Sucking in the pain and agony
This emptiness in me
No matter how much love I have
In number or quality
It remains the darkness
Shadow of my beating centre
Affections a temporary balm
On the damaged being
Dying inside
The longer that she waits
To learn to love herself
A lesson that keeps coming
Forgotten easily
Slipping into the old ways
Of putting others first
Pushing herself into ignored corners
To be remembered some other day
