Exiled to an island
By our unspoken war
You’ll endure silence
‘til we have both forgotten
Or necessity to speak
Outweighs the memory
Of being slighted
Like a good broth I stew
Master of words
But I share very few
For conflict breeds fear
Of abandon and loneliness
Thus, thoughts never breathe
Those that might offend
And I begin to choke
On my truths unshared
