Unpacking the Soul

Locked up tight
Buried inside
Stuffed into cracks
Piled in darkness
I fill the case
Of my secrets
My shame and guilt
All that I hide
From the world
It oozes and festers
Toxic sludge
Seeping into life
Infecting and affecting
The surrounding field
My colour gone dull
Façade splintering
Renovation required
Spring cleaning begin
Time to unload
Unpack my inner turmoil
Gently release
Like peace doves
To the open sky
Repair and revitalize
My damaged soul
Blame and revenge
Purged from my being
Love and light
A choice I need to make
